Chemical-Physics in Near-Critical and Supercritical Fluids

The goal is to study fluid fluctuations under conditions extremely close to the fluids critical point; where properties such as compressibility, density of the gas and liquid phases, and surface tension can be easily varied. Additionally, supercritical water is used in industry to eliminate waste in an ecological combustion process. This work will investigate the reason for the very high yield of supercritical combustion.
