The Effect of Change in Gravity on the Dynamic of Prehension an the Kinematics of the Upper Limb During Cyclic Arm Movements with a Handheld load.

This topical team will study the effects that changes in gravity have on handgrip forces and on the movement of objects. Further, the team will evaluate new models for making predictions in the sensorimotor system. Finally, there will be an application for robotics and industry, with particular focus on the action of grasping and balancing against external forces. The scientific areas involved are neurophysiology, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and robotics engineering.
